About Me

My lifelong love of words and visual content comes from a storyteller’s perspective and a passion for bringing concepts to life both on and off the page.

I grew up on an avocado farm in rural California with parents who encouraged imagination and creativity. After high school, I followed my love for writing and the visual arts to San Francisco, where I received my BA and MA in English and Creative Writing from San Francisco State University (and also studied photojournalism and holistic health). During this time, I worked as a creative writing and art therapist at UCSF Mount Zion and as a writer and photographer for the food and drink section of San Francisco Weekly.

When I finished graduate school in 2013, my husband, Nick, and I launched comewecreate, a boutique creative production company that focuses on multimedia content and campaigns within the food, beverage, travel, hospitality, and sustainability industries. We've worked with everyone from advertising agencies to PR companies, small start-ups to corporations, fine-tuning strategies to help them grow their written and visual identity.

In my experience, I've had the pleasure of working with clients including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Patrón Tequila, Marriott International, Krug Champagne, Berkshire Hathaway, OneHope Wine, Bob's Red Mill, Volkswagen, and more. I've also written and photographed for publications including San Diego Magazine, Edible Communities, and Portland Monthly.

Favorite work experience:

One of the campaigns that I'm most proud of was one I conceptualized, produced, and directed back in 2016. In partnership with Volkswagen, Nick and I drove for 100 days and 15,000 miles around America, telling the story of hundreds of James Beard award-winning chefs, renowned farmers and culinary product makers, and food-focused lodging locations.

During this trip, we ventured to New York for the first time...and fell absolutely in love with the Hudson Valley. Currently, we live between Woodstock, New York and Portland, Oregon, where we teeter between designing and renovating our 1930s fisherman's cottage and our 1960s midcentury ranch.

I'm so happy you stopped by! And I look forward to hopefully creating together soon!
